Special "Glowtastic" Class Anouncement
Have you ever wanted to turn off all the lights at the studio, grab some glowsticks, dance music and just flow your heart out? Oh my gosh, ME TOO! Stay Connected
I think we can all agree when I say my "blogging" runs in spirts. To stay up to date and not miss a thing - sign up to get automatic emails when something new is posted. How? Enter your email address in the "Follow by Email" box underneath the exhaulted warrior picture (me!) on the left sidebar. By the way, that picture was taken by the talented Rachel of Prissy Piggies Photography. She is a great photographer and she's a pretty rockin' yogi too. Since we're on the subject of blogging, why not visit her site too at http://prissypiggiesblog.com/.

Celebrating Community @ Bonney Lake Days
One of my favorite things about yoga is the amazing community yoga creates - the supportive relationships you build with teachers, the smiles you receive from strangers and the overall warmth you feel at any (good) studio is really something special.
This weekend, the Revive Hot Yoga staff is taking our fire for yoga out into a bigger community at Bonney Lake Days. This is a annual small town event to bring people our of their backyards and into a great park to celebrate our little city - complete with music, local business booths (that's where we'll be), food, fireworks and much more.
Come out and show your support for the community, enjoy the sunshine - and strike a yoga pose infront of our booth! The Revive Hot Yoga booth will be there all day Friday and Saturday...I'll be there working the booth specifically on Friday from 6-9pm - look for us in our blue tank tops!

Step 1:
"Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try."
So you've heard all the good things about yoga...its great for your health, helps with stress and can ultimately lead to transformation of your entire life but commiting to a yoga class for the first time (or really anything for the first time) can be very intimidating. However I'm hear to tell you that the first step in yoga is very easy...make the decision to try!
Find a class that is suitable for beginners, wear clothes that you can easily move in and let go of any pre-existing impressions of what yoga and yoga students are like. Come to yoga with an open mind - yoga really is for every body.
TRY!

Blogger's Intention
So I talk about intention all the time while teaching - its a simple clear vision of why you came to class and what you are looking to get out of it. This practice of setting a clear intention can then follow you out of the studio and transfer into your daily life. Isn't it important to have intention in the things we do daily? From going to work, cleaning the house or saying hello to a stranger...all things are better when they have meaning and purpose.
Well guess what? My intention of starting this little blog was to BLOG - and to say the least I have lost connection with that intention. As many times as I write "Blog post" on my weekly to do list I end up over thinking the process and then plan it for another day when I "know I'll have more undivided time" and I never get to scratch it off my list. Now going back and reading my first post....I wanted a place of simple authenticity...which is the opposite of over thought perfection.
During Teacher Training we practiced being our true self by giving up our fears and then acting through a committed statement. Of course all things are better when shared with a community. So today - as I currently sit in the back seat of a truck at the start of a seven hour snowmobiling road trip - I GIVE UP blogging (or not blogging) in the quest of perfection and I COMMIT TO posting fearlessly from my own true self.
Is there any task in your own life that could benefit from removing your own fears and setting a new way of being? Find out. "I give up __________________ and I commit to _________________!"
Be great.
